This photo taken in 1917 of the gentleman in civilian clothes, (in the top row) behind the World War I German soldiers, is my father. In those days the German Army treated the Jews much differently. There was respect for their skills and abilities. My father worked for a supplies company that provided for the German Army. He had great responsibilities that earned him many privileges. |
